SLIXS
Vocal Grooves
Five years after their successful Ruhrfestspiele debut, SLIXS return this year to recapture the hearts and minds of their audience. SLIXS make music without instruments, its six exceptional vocal acrobats explore the limits of the human voice. This is a cappella at the highest level: jazz, pop, funk, baroque, and world music merge into a wonderfully organic sound that makes you want to move your feet. The group are just as interested in Johann Sebastian Bach as they are in David Bowie or Bobby McFerrin, with whom they have toured in the past. They create exciting and playful soundscapes through which their audience can let off steam.
