Elbtonal Percussion

The successful ensemble Elbtonal Percussion has a select program specially designed for churches: "ATMOS." In this performance piece, the four virtuoso percussionists from Hamburg dedicate themselves to the spherical, meditative, and expansive sounds of percussive music. Familiar classical composers like Johann Sebastian Bach and Claude Debussy can be heard alongside modern composers like Toru Takemitsu, Steve Reich, and Lou Harrison. Their works are interpreted masterfully on marimbas, vibraphones, singing bowls, and gongs. Come and allow yourself to be overwhelmed by a deeply touching concert, far removed from the usual percussion clichés.
