Reading with Wolfram Koch

Chekhov’s early tales reveal a genius in the making: they are filled to the brim with the precise observations, wry humour, eccentric characters and witty dialogue of his later plays. These youthful sketches show a carefree and playful side of the playwright who is celebrated for plays such as The Cherry Orchard and Three Sisters.

Wolfram Koch has been engaged at theatres all over Germany, including Bochum, Berlin and Frankfurt. Together with Samuel Finzi, Dimiter Gotscheff and Almut Zilcher he won the Theatre Award Berlin in 2011. In 2013, he joined the popular crime television format Tatort as a police inspector in Frankfurt. Additionally, he was awarded the Gertrud Eysoldt Ring in 2015 for Ivan Panteleev’s production of Waiting for Godot and the Grimme Award 2017 for his film Dead Man Working.
