Marie Diot

Marie Diot is a singer-songwriter who combines music and nonsense. In other words, she presents a mixture of indie pop, chanson, and comical hijinks. Her concerts consist of distorted, funny announcements and songs that tell stories of day-to-day life with charm, wit, and irony. After all, some things that happen in real life are so crazy that you couldn’t make them up. Some stories are melancholy, some hilarious, and some are shrewd. Marie Diot is optimistic, relaxed, always trying to find the right words and the best melody, always willing to move people. She is supported on stage by the fabulous multi-instrumentalist Fabian Großberg. Marie Diot's concerts have already taken her all over Germany and this year the Ruhrfestspiel audience can look forward to seeing her in Recklinghausen.
