Poetry Slam is the art form of our times. It fascinates fans of pop culture and high culture alike. Texts are not simply read, they are brought to life on stage. Whether they are funny or serious, gloomy or absurd, poetry slams never fail to move their audiences. “Best of Poetry Slam” unites tried-and-tested slam veterans on stage to guarantee a captivating night of spoken-word thrills.

Our host Jan Philipp Zymny is among Germany’s best-loved poetry slammers. He won the German championship twice and currently tours with his third solo act. He regularly performs on the Ruhr area’s most important slam stages, the “LMBN” and “Unendlich viele Affen.”
