What does Europe sound like? This question is explored by the artist duo Action Hero. Since 2018, Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse have been on the road with their camper van, inviting people to sing. They have already traveled through 34 European countries and met over a thousand people who sang love songs to them in a variety of languages. These songs about love in all its forms have been recorded in their mobile studio. This treasure trove of recordings will be lovingly arranged into a radio show that can be heard exclusively for one day.
At the end of the Ruhrfestspiele, the love songs from Recklinghausen and all over Europe will be heard on the Grüner Hügel:

You realize how similar the issues are that connect all of us at the core. You can experience eight hours of live broadcasting from the Ruhrfestspielhaus directly on site. Come for a moment and stay for hours; it's hard to tear yourself away again. Listen to voices from Greece, Latvia or Ireland, hear your neighbors, or maybe your own love song. That's how versatile the sound of Europe is.
