Im Bachzustand
A Classical Concert in a Deckchair
The cellist Katja Zakotnik studied in Hanover, Milan, and the USA, graduated with honors and won numerous competitions. Her trademark are innovative concert formats and moderated thematic concerts. This is also the case with her latest program, which she presents at the Ruhrfestspiele this year. The audience will hear the Suites I-VI for solo cello by Johann Sebastian Bach in an altered order. They can enjoy the music in an intimate setting, let their minds wander, and be inspired. What could be better than relaxing with classical music, especially when the audience - instead of sitting in a concert hall chair - can stretch out their legs and close their eyes? At the beginning of the performance, each audience member chooses a comfortable place to sit – thereby experiencing the "Bach State of Mind" in an entirely unprecedented level of comfort. Prepare to be swept away by a concert with a difference.
