Etcétera and Murtra Ensemble, Spain
German Premiere
It could be the average orchestra performance, maybe it is a rehearsal? But then, all of a sudden, a little creature appears among the musicians, an impish faun that brings chaos into the orchestra. And when the little faun falls asleep in between the instruments, he starts to dream. And he dreams of animals from all over the world: Africa, Asia, Australia – large and small, the swim and fly and run through his dreams.
Etcétera and Murtra Ensemble present this extraordinary combination of concert and puppetry: life-sized animals fill the stage and illustrate Saint-Saëns’ unforgettable melodies. This production is the perfect combination of humour and imagination, a play with fantasy and reality that fascinates the entire family.
