Folkwang University of the Arts is one of the most important catalyst for contemporary art in Noth-Rhyne-Westphalia. Many internationally acclaimed artists took their first steps at the university in Essen, a safe haven for developing and experimenting with new art forms. One of the most important alumna is Pina Bausch, who trained at Folkwang to later shape generations of dancers with her style of contemporary dance.
This performance is a best of that will showcase the talent that Folkwang University has to offer, ranging from the drama and dance department to music and physical theatre. Young artists that we will talk about in the years to come.
