von Omar Rajeh / Maqamat

‘Beytna’ is the Lebanese word for a simple invitation to the home of another; a symbol of happiness, pleasure, compassion and friendship. For Lebanese choreographer Omar Rajeh, “Beytna” the invitation to a musical delight. Four choreographers and four musicians from Lebanon, Japan, Palestine, Belgium and Togo will meet on stage at a dinner table. They are from different continents, cultures, and countries.

They have different artistic experiences, with different backgrounds and ideas. What connects them is their profession. They talk, drink, laugh, dance and eat together. This simple meeting is the starting point to a complex choreographic and conceptual performance. “Beytna” is a true feast for the senses.
